MuRem

This last in-person MuRem workshop in Vienna provided insights into the Austrian memory discourses and multiperspective Holocaust remembrance projects, and space for dialogue on the topics and questions that have challenged us at previous events and/or have remained open. We also used our final in-person MuRem meeting to reflect on the joint MuRem workshops, draw conclusions, collect questions and discuss possibilities for future cooperations.

The primary focus of the workshop was on Holocaust education and remembrance in Italy, with a particular emphasis on the involvement of Jewish organizations in this field.

The 3-day workshop in Warsaw focused on mulitperspectivity in the context of the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising against the backdrop of the war in Ukraine.

During the online conference, representatives of Holocaust Education institutions in Poland, France, Belgium and Norway gave insights into their multiperspective practices and experiences.

During our Kick-off-Workshop, we founded the MuRem network with the aim to strengthen transnational cooperation regarding multiperspectivity and
interdisciplinarity in European Holocaust Education and Remembrance and sharing experiences from the practice.
